Welcome to the Korea Concrete Institute website.
The Korea Concrete Institute (KCI) founded in 1989 has 12,425 individual members and special members of more than 440 organizations at the end of 2024.
Concrete is a widely used construction material for buildings, bridges, roads, subways, dams, water supply, sewerage, harbors, thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, and many infrastructures. It has been playing a very big role for human beings to achieve modern civilization.
As an academic organization that develops and disseminates the knowledge and technology of concrete, the Korea Concrete Institute publishes the Korean design code and standard specifications for design, construction, and maintenance of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures. In particular, the Korean Structural Concrete Design Code (KCI Code) was published in English version, and it was listed in ISO 19338 and became an internationally accepted design standard.
In addition, the Korea Concrete Institute regularly publishes the International Journal of Concrete Structures and Materials (IJCSM), the Korean technical journal listed in SCOPUS, the Korean Concrete Magazine, and many practice manuals incorporating concrete related technology.
The Korea Concrete Institute will contribute to the society continuously through the development and dissemination of the knowledge and technology related to concrete, and welcome your participation and advices.
